Thank you to everyone who attended our formal launch in Jersey of JCKC Law and the Chambers of James Corbett KC. It was wonderful to welcome so many professional colleagues to enjoy drinks and canapes whilst catching up, and I would like to thank Chris Clifford for granting us this opportunity.

As I mentioned on the evening, it has been an exciting time since I came to live in Jersey in 2018. Following a long career at the English Bar and then with an American firm, I wanted to create something for myself and to enjoy the independence of having my own Jersey firm - JCKC Law.

I am also very proud to have established the Chambers of James Corbett KC. The rationale had been to provide, in Jersey, under one roof, experience and talent in several areas of law.

My colleagues, whom I was proud to introduce on the evening, are Richard Humphreys KC of the English Bar, for his experience and expertise in planning and public law, and

Arran Dowling-Hussey of the English and Irish Bars, a specialist in international construction arbitration.

On the evening, I was also happy to announce that Chambers will shortly be joined by Eleanor Temple KC, who is of course very well knowns for her commercial and insolvency practice in England.

I am also delighted to welcome Margaret Griffin of Hailsham Chambers, and Georgia Purnell of 3 Hare Court, both of whom are Jersey residents.

Thank you again to all our guests for an enjoyable and memorable evening.

We very much look forward to working with you in the future.
